Accepted MBB offer - what next? (no contact)

I accepted an MBB offer (North America) three months ago, and apart form getting in touch for small logistic things (sign-on bonus, background check), I haven't heard anything. Friends who accepted offers at the other two MBBs are getting invited to a bunch of Zoom happy hours and Christmas parties. I was wondering if this is normal, if they forgot about me
(I'm a PhD entering at post-MBA level, and I imagine there's not many PhDs compared to MBAs, especially this year), or if this MBB is just less social.

I was hoping to hear your thoughts!

In the exact same boat as you and also haven't heard much (PhD starting mid-2021). They send a monthly advanced degree-oriented newsletter and alluded to the fact they may reach out for our help with virtual recruiting events next year. Not sure about your office, but we find out our start dates in a few months. I imagine things will pick up after those are announced.

Same boat here too! Except I haven't gotten any newsletters, I already chose my start date, and I attended a short offeree zoom chat a while back. I did hear from the recruiter I worked with to be someone's interview buddy, which was fun. But nothing about starting - probably because I chose a date really far from now.

I didn't expect to hear much, so even if they forgot about me for now it's fine. Idk about you but I'm in the middle of revising my dissertation, so lots to keep me occupied!

That makes me feel better! I was worried that either I had been forgotten or that BCG was just less social, as my friend who accepted McK was invited to Zoom happy hours, and now to a virtual Christmas party where they'll send him stuff to make at home. And my friend who accepted Bain also was invited to some kind of Zoom happy hours. All of us are PhDs. I haven't met a single other person who is starting at BCG next year, it would have been fun to connect with them. I guess let's just wait and see! Congrats to both of you :)

Everyone be chill :) go and enjoy your time off!

MBB is known for being full of some fun people with a great culture (usually, there may be outlier offices not sure!). Personally, I’ve met incredible people at mine. If you’d like to go in and meet people etc just email the recruiter or someone you’ve met from there and just ask if you can come in for Friday drinks one day
