Advice needed!!

Long story short, recently started at a consulting firm (think Accenture, IBM, Big 4) and have been working only on technology projects. I did not realize this would be my primary type of project and now I’ve noticed that somehow I got stuck doing these boring technology implementations.

This is NOT what I want to do at all. And the more I’ve realized that this is basically all we do, the more I want out.

I have a number of questions, but basically they all revolve around when I should start looking for a new job. Should I wait a year? This work has reminded me that I’m more interested in investing, or maybe starting out in an IB type roll. I tried recruiting for IB during college but did a poor job of networking, and come from a target school. Is it too late to transition out?
