Bainbridge: the real deal for strategy consulting?

Hoping someone in the WSO universe has some insights into Bainbridge based in San Diego, California. They've posted some job openings that look really interesting - for people to join their strategy consulting practice.
I always assumed that any real strategy consulting jobs in Southern California required being based in LA since none of the big firms have San Diego offices.
A quick dive into LinkedIn shows that very few staff stay over a year at this firm - BIG red flag to me. But maybe it was just a bad manager or firm pains of going through the great recession?
I love the idea of living in San Diego (who doesn't right!) but long-term I want to take a job in consulting to get into PE or CXO role with a west-coast Fortune 500.
Right now, I'm wrapping up my first year at a top 15 MBA program on West Coast and starting to think about back-up plans if I don't find a fit with one of the global strategy firms during recruiting next fall.
Any thoughts on Bainbridge as a place to do strategy consulting? Much/any brand equity on my resume when someone sees I worked there?
