You apply to and recruit to BCG as a generalist. Once you're at BCG, very easy to get staffed on PIPE cases because PE market is very active rn. Decent exits into PE but very similar to the rest of bcg

 

Once again, don't think of it as exits from BCG PIPE, it's just exits from BCG. Some people only do 1 or 2 PE cases and still exit to PE. Idk much about MM IB exits so can't compare. But BCG PE exits def worse than BB/ EB PE exits. Some solid MM/UMM with few but non-zero MF exits. The types of funds that are consultant friendly are different (more focused on creating value through operational turnaround). However, some funds (H&F)take just top bankers + MBB so BCGer would have a better shot and some only take bankers so MM banker would have better shot
