Best Business Books for Management Consultants
As an engineering student, I do not have much experience with business lingo or finance. Are there any recommended books that would cover the basics of business and finance at a suitable level for management consultants. I am a rising junior and will be spending the summer prepping for interviews (for summer '20 internship) and want to be best prepared.
Thanks!
Consulting interviews don't really require advanced accounting or financial knowledge. You just have to have a high level understanding of business -- revenue, costs, profit -- and how to break these down from a business point of view (e.g. for revenue, perhaps breaking it down by geographies, product segments, or customer segments).
And for that, a good place to start would be the book Case Interview Secrets by Victor Cheng.
