Best internship options

Working in small strategic consultancy firm. I've decided to do an MPP, and hope to break into public sector consulting.

Any ideas where's the best place to hit up for summer internships?

Yeah, thought of MBB, but ideally I would like them to see my resume after I have had a bit more experience in public sector consulting. Not sure how competittive I would be applying right now. Plus I think most of the deadlines have passed.

Background: Law major from Oxford (3.5GPA), masters in economic law from UCL, tons of legal work experience, and work in consultancy now. Solid GRE scores (760Q) as well, will take GMAT when necessary

While your background is very impressive, I do want to give you a heads up that you're going to be fighting an uphill battle with BAH as you are not a US citizen. An overwhelming majority of their work requires a security clearance. Even if your work does not require one, it will be very hard to staff you on a project if the project you are hired were to end. They generally hire only "clearable" (not allowed to discriminate based on citizenship status) for this reason.

However, BAH's noncompete with Booz & Co. ends in July and is expected to go heavily back into the commercial world. There is a good chance that they will be hiring non-"clearable" with the expected influx of commercial projects.

If you still have your heart set on BAH, then I would urge you to network and network until you find people who can connect you with or are working on the SPECIFIC TEAM that fits your background. You'd probably have the best chance at that in Georgetown.

Thanks. I dont necessarily have my heart set on BAH but I gather they gain the majority of work within the public sector so was on my shortlist. I'm open to where I could be placed. Do McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Roland Berger, etc operate under the same protocol in terms of security clearance?

Also, what are your thoughts on the Cornell program? Ivy name, diverse curriculum, places real well as well. Leaning towards that at the moment
