BofA/Barclays IB vs McKinsey/Bain Consulting
Received full time offers from both places. While consulting may give me broader exits, the IB pay is also tough to turn down (100k base + 100k bonus for analyst 1, and associate with 2 years of experience regularly clearing 350k+). The consulting offer pays around 120k all-in first year. Does the increased optionality in consulting warrant such pay cut? Any thoughts on this?
Pay increases at a greater rate in consulting, and BarCap has great exits. Guess it depends on the groups.
