Building experience for Resume

Long time troll, first time poster.

I know there seem to be a variety of these that pop up now and again but I would love some input. I'm currently getting ready to go back to school in fall and my school (MBB does do direct recruiting) offers a number of internships throughout the year. You sign up for a class and then get assigned to work with people at a company to complete a project, basically whatever kind of work they have prepared.

It's obviously not a good as a summer internship working full time, but it's valuable none the less for some experience and if nothing else great networking since you can meet a number of people from the company. I"m most interested in pursuing consulting, hopefully at MBB post graduation and wanted to know what might be viewed as better experience, I have an opportunity to join a tier 2 firm (PwC, Deloitte, etc) for an HR consulting project or to work with Google more on an entrepreneurial level helping local businesses with technology etc.

Many times students who participate on the projects can even work a summer internship out of it if they network well, so keep that in mind. But that being said what do you think would be a better resume addition for the future?
