Business role at a big tech firm or T2 Consulting?

A little background:

I am a junior at a non core state school for consulting, but I managed to land a summer internship offer with a T2 firm (think Deloitte S&O, ACN Strategy, Oliver Wyman). I also managed to land a summer internship offer at a big tech company (think Google, Microsoft, Amazon) in a business analyst role (doing analytical projects and modeling to provide business insight). Both are really great offers and I am trying to decide between which role. Some things in considering are:

What will set me up better for MBB recruiting full time?

Career Growth?

What will place better for MBA school?

Thanks for the help!

In terms of sheer chances of making MBB, I’d probably say: Deloitte S&O = OW > FAANG > Accenture Strategy.

The bigger question is if there’s a chance you’d go back to the FAANG company after the internship. If so, do that. If you’re really interested in MBB, take the consulting offer if it’s S&O or OW. If it’s Accenture Strategy, take the FAANG offer.

If you want to end up in tech after MBB go for the large tech co. If it’s a Google or FB the prestige factor hits harder than tier 2 consulting and Microsoft and you don’t limit yourself later if you want to leave.
