Cerner and Epic (Healthcare Consulting) Compensation

I'm trying to figure out how the pay at Cerner would compare to Epic for an Implementation style Consultant role - anyone have any idea? I have heard that you can expect around $70k to start at Epic but I am not sure about Cerner. I know Cerner would probably be a bit less and Epic is considered tops in this area but I'd thought I'd ask.

i don't know about pay, but my understanding of Cerner was that they are not Healthcare Consulting and more IT (wireless) implementation. I could be way off base, but that is at least my assumption.

Well I had meant this cerner: http://www.cerner.com/About_Cerner/ which is healthcare IT, should have made that clearer. Not something like McKinsey Hospital Institute. On a side note I just checked the stock and it seems to be doing rather well. In any case if anyone has some sort of compensation data they could hint at for a new grad consultant I'd appreciate it. If I find out from them before anyone posts here then maybe I'll update this thread for future people who might search. I guess it's not pure consulting but more "how will our system work with your environment" consulting, but since there are threads about Epic here I thought it might be relevant.

Epic starting pay for IC's is $65K, but most positions are through Consulting Companies on an hourly contract basis $56-65 an hour, Epic rarely hires IC's. Cerner is the same with Pay around $58K. eClinicalWorks hires herds of IC's at a time, staring pay with great experience is $60K, not a great software solution. Allscripts IC typically start around $70K, lots of work available, growing company, big portfolio of clients. Other small EHR companies like Connexion (pediatrics) start around $50-55K.

This must be old - every client I've spoken to has had terrible feedback on Allscripts

65k For epic sounds a little high but definitely closer to the mark than 43. They also do have a good amount of variation in pay between different people that they higher for the same position.
