Computer Associates (CA Technologies) Associate Consultant Role Info

Anyone know details about CA Technologies Associate Services Consultant program (perhaps compensation, lifestyle, hrs, etc)? It seems more 'pure IT' then SI at Deloitte and Accenture. One of my friends is encouraging me to apply since I'm a CS major but looking to get an MBA maybe 5-6 yrs down the line - to me the work would be much more interesting than SAP type roles but I'm concerned about compensation compared to a Deloitte/Accenture or even ZS role (will have lots of loans) and opportunities after a few years. Anyone have any insight? I know this is a more finance and strategy oriented forum but since there is so much stuff on SI roles I thought I'd ask.

I made it into that program (din't accept the offer). The interview is fairly simple- a mix of technical and behavioral.

The program itself consists firstly of training classes, during which they coach you on a particular suite. At the end of a module (or the program, I don't remember) you are required to take certification tests. Once you graduate from the classes, they assign you to a group of consultants and are slowly thrown in the deep end.

The compensation is on the lower side- $50,000-$60,000, and IMHO I don't think you'll develop a diverse enough skill set to leverage a lateral to Deloitte/Accenture/Oracle. Lifestyle and hours are equally crappy/good when compared to the rest.

Deloitte>Accenture>Oracle>>>CA

Best of luck.
