Consulting and Visa Sponsorship

I am a Canadian (F1) non-diversity rising junior at a Nescac (Not Amherst or Williams, but also not Trinity or Conn). I plan to do a masters after graduating, so I was thinking about recruiting for summer of 26 consulting, and want to know a few things before I even put the effort in.

I recently went through recruiting for IB, did what I was told by everyone were all the right things, but never got a single interview and many told me it was because of sponsorship for my visa, which does not even need to happen until 3 years post grad.

I want to know if consulting is the same way before I pour so much effort into prepping and networking in the US. Is it basically impossible to get an interview as a non diversity international student?
