consulting out of undergrad or after?

hey all, for anyone that did NOT go to a target undergrad → recruited to consulting - do you ever wish you started your consulting career out of undergrad?

this applies especially for any foreign nationals now working in the USA.

my dilemma rn is either i go to a US public target for USD200k or a school in Canada for USD60k. I am hoping to establish a career & move to the USA, but I'm not 100% sure I'll want to do consulting - Will I fumble if I end up still wanting to do it but I'm in Canada?

I'll likely be employed if I go to the public target (talked to a lot of alumni of my specific program)

Is it better to take the leap or should i take it slow? I am so terrified of closing doors and regretting my choice to save that money.
