corporate strategy & cover letter?

I know cover letters are a big thing and required for consulting firms, but what about corporate strategy? Obviously they are stated "optional", but do we need to have it?

Asking because I included cover letters when I applied for jobs and never got hit back for an interview, but when I didn't include the cover letter in the next applications.. I started getting interviews and got my current position at a BB.

Oh I'm sorry, I forgot this was an online forum where my grammar needed to be perfect.

If you can't get the point of my question from my post, then you have other things to worry about besides spending all your time on WSO with over a thousand posts in 31 weeks

Kid, first of all you need to actually read my post. Instead of worrying about my grammar, you should be worrying about your reading comprehension.

To translate my post for you, I asked about the necesity of a cover letter for corporate strategy jobs with the knowledge that they are required for consulting firms. Have a nice day.

well allow me to retort: i dont care about your grammar, the point is you probably wrote some shitty cover letters.

either way, this is a dumb question coming from a kid who is allegedly employed. you: "Obviously they are stated "optional", but do we need to have it?" seriously, bro?

just erase this thread.
