Current State of Deloitte M&A

Hi All,

Hoping to gain some insight into Deloitte's M&A group. I've heard they have a pretty strong presence and compete with MBB on a lot of projects (this may have been exaggerated). I know they are growing like crazy, and would appreciate any insight on the Division. I am in particular interested in their culture, comp (Consultant level within their Finance or Analytics team), hours, environment, and leadership. Wanted to clarify that I am interested in their consulting arm, not their IB group. Is it a sweatshop? I have heard it pretty cut throat with longer hours, but am looking to confirm.

I rarely saw Deloitte compete credibly in any processes in the MBB core capabilities. If we'd dip our toe outside this they'd naturally have an edge given price point and proven track record
