With your accounting background, you can make a lateral to restructuring consulting after 2-3 years of audit. It’s a hard jump, but not terribly uncommon for RX consultants to be former auditors. From there, a jump to strategy consulting seems much more reasonable.
Any advice on how to lateral within the big 4 to management consulting? I heard that happens sometimes but not often.
