Well to start, "best" in this case can be quite subjective, but I'll lay out what I understand (incoming Southern office AC) about the different offices:

1) The largest office in the South is Atlanta. I'm pretty sure this is a function of it being the oldest Southern office, but Atlanta is also a big business hub. The project mix is mostly centered around consumer/retail, logistics/transportation, and FinTech.

2) Austin/Dallas/Houston are all decently sized and all about the same. Houston seems to be the biggest of the three (you can gauge office size by looking at how many partners are in a given office). Project mix for all 3 will be a lot of energy/oil/gas. However, there are also strong supply chain, manufacturing, and REPE practices.

3) Obviously, because Bain is Bain, you will do work in PEG regardless of what office you pick.

None of the points above should really be surprising. An office's case mix will be what you expect it to be for the given region. Pick the office you actually want to be in and choose what makes sense for you. There is no "better" or "best" Southern office IMO.
