For those that know, is this process pretty standard for people that want to switch? I was hoping to intern in a M/B/B location that actively recruits at my school, and then try to get transferred before full-time if I get an offer to return. Anyone know how possible this is?
Doing a summer --> full-time switch is different from what's being described here. I did what you're describing. Happy to answer questions via PM.
This works a lot better if you have a cross offer and you do it before you sign, or you're not trying to go to NYC, San Francisco, or Boston.
