Do consultants still travel?
At my (non-mbb T2) firm, it seems like only partner/principles are regularly traveling post covid. Is it the same across the board in consulting nowadays? Do you guys still get stipends?
At my MBB plenty of people are running around getting on planes these days - if you’re solving for travel it’s very easy to do so - and yes we get a travel stipend.
At my MBB we definitely have people going to client offices (mostly local though), travelling to co-locate on projects (got a Consultant arriving today), and of course travelling for training purposes.
We're not super known for flying to clients half way across the world, our staffing model is more local, but we still travel a fair bit when necessary.
