Do consulting firms fly you in for interviews if you're far from the target office?
I heard that they'll fly you across a couple of states if they're interested.
What I'm wondering is if they'll fly you across the Atlantic as well... Only BCG and Mck have offices in my country but I'd like to have a plan B in case it's possible (I have US citizenship).
MBB in Germany does it. Flew my sis in from singapore. I think US offices do too.
I think this is the norm, at least at MBA level. I saw a figure somewhere - It costs them on average $100k to find and hire one mba student...the cost of international flight is nominal to them in their recruiting process.
thanks guys. anyone hear about whether it's true also for 2nd tier (lek, ow, atk, booz(?))?
From what I've seen: - Domestically - Yes, usually. - Internationally - Depends. Sometimes, they fly you out. Sometimes they do video interviews.
This is for final rounds only. Earlier rounds are usually handled by your local office or on-campus.
Does Deloitte pay for flight for an interview to an office out of state?
If they want to interview you in person, likely yes.
Deloitte makes like >$30B a year in revenue. I think they can afford to fly you out if they needed to :)
