Early career switch to consulting?

So I have been in my job in strategy and operations at a highly respected tech company (apple, google, msft) for a year now, and I am itching to move on to something different. I want to work in consulting so that I get experience across other industries, as I want to end up in finance post-MBA. I went to a target undergrad where M/B/B recruit, so do I apply through their online career center, or just on the respective websites of these companies? They have an "experienced hires" section, but frankly I would be happy with an entry level position, as I have relatively limited experience at this point.

I would appreciate any suggestions or advice,

cheers.

I think the most standard path would be to apply to a top MBA program from there. I think 2 years at one of those firms would position you well for a top MBA than M/B/B should be within reach. If you apply now for entry level positions you'd be applying to start next year anyway so starting from entry level doesn't really seem worth it and I dont think they'd hire you in as a post-mba associate type position with only 2 years of strategy experience. (It's usually 3 years within MBB for a direct promote)

thanks for the information. I might just suck it up for another year then and apply to MBA's next fall. I am not really unhappy with my job, but I just don't want to get stuck in this sector for the rest of my career. Hopefully an MBA will allow me to get into finance or consulting.
