Economics and Philosophy at New York University Abu Dhabi

I'm going to be enrolling at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) this fall and very soon I'll be asked to choose my courses and such. I have a great interest in Philosophy, Economics and their intersection of logic and problem solving. For my vocational plans I'm eyeing McKinsey and Co. or related international consulting firms in Dubai. Is my double major choice an ideal one for my vocational plans? Also, what is my chance of getting a job at a high end international firm e.g. McKinsey and Co. as an international student (non-US and non-Emirati) when I graduate from NYUAD(is NYUAD a good option for my plans?)

Management Consulting Other

“I spoke with Michael who works in Equity Research, we talked about some career paths that I can take and why Asset Management is a good fit. During our talk, we went over my CV and were able to pick out some points that were relevant to AM. We then discussed my next steps if I wanted to pursue AM, going over what firms to target and what level to reach. When discussing the level to reach, Michael went over 2 areas where I can build on and focus my attention to help me stand out when I apply to some of the AM firms we talked about. He mentioned why and how they are relevant along with what to start with. Michael was extremely reassuring and kind throughout our talk and I was happy that he reached out to me on Slack when I put my first introductory message in the general page. We need our talk with potentially meeting again to do a mock stock pitch or just to catch up on my progression.”

Management Consulting 7 Stories Review

“Daniel was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful in preparing my “Tell Me About Yourself” answer and seven interview stories. He went through my answers in great detail, providing constructive feedback and explaining everything very clearly. He always made sure I understood his suggestions before moving on. What I appreciated most was how he offered fresh perspectives and helped me better understand what interviewers are actually looking for. I gained so much from the session and really appreciated his guidance!”
