Exit opportunities from operations-focused consulting
I'm close to completing my first year at a well known tier 2 shop (Deloitte/OW/ATK). Even though my firm does strategy work, all of the projects I've been staffed on are more on the operations side. Other than business school, what are my options after another year or two (assuming the worst case scenario that I remain on operations type projects) at the firm?
Will it be difficult to get into corporate strategy groups pre-MBA? What about post-MBA? How far off are finance gigs (eg IB, IM, ER etc)?
