EY-Parthenon types of cases?
Hi, just wondering if you guys know the types of cases EY-Parthenon typically gives to its candidates (intern level). M&A? Profitability? If anyone has any insight that would be great.

When I interviewed there for an internship back in 2018, I had 3 sections:
1) Group case with 2 other applicants. We had to go through a DD deck on a toy manufacturing company and make some recommendations for growth, and present the recommendations on a flip chart after 30 minutes. Was used to test how well we could work with others as well as business acumen, unlike any case interview I had done before.
2) Profitability/breakeven case about a ferry that was opening up in Boston, very much one time fixed cost+yearly costs- (revenue minus variable costs) sort of case. Standard, easy.
3) Fit interview, focusing on why consulting, why Boston, why Parthenon, EY.
Overall, was a great interviewing experience, really loved the vibe of the office and pity I didn't get an offer.
Thanks for the response. If you don’t mind me asking, what did you think went wrong in your interview that caused you not to get the offer?
I missed the fact that the ferry or cruise or whatever could also sell soda and food so they could make extra money and be more profitable. Also, the VP I interviewed with for behavioral went well, but I said I was studying biotechnology and he asked why I didn't want to do a biotechnology startup and I didn't have a good answer. I was on the wait list, though, so wasn't thaaaaat bad, I guess!
My first round was a long market sizing and behavioral. Final round was similar to user above - group case, strategy case with a lot of data, and behavioral - I would say the behavioral was probably the hardest part of both interviews, they ask specific questions because they’re recruiting for a specific culture
How would you describe the culture they’re pursuing? What kind of questions?
I've never interviewed for EYP but the people I've talked to have described the environment as scrappy (in a way) because it's relatively new. From what it seems, I'd say they look for go-getters and the type of person that would be actively looking for a solution if they saw a problem. Also just seems to have great WL balance and I've honestly really enjoyed my conversations with employees of the firm.
Would highly recommend networking with people at EYP if you want to gain a better sense of the culture.
Hey, did the FT application for parthenon for 2023 already pass?
