FLDP to strategy consulting / corporate strategy?

I’m considering a 3-year Finance Leadership Development Programme at a large global FMCG /consumer goods multinational based in Copenhagen. I don’t want to name the company, but think along the lines of Nestlé, PepsiCo, Mondelez, Unilever, Danone, Haleon, J&J Consumer, etc. Large global business, household brands, multiple divisions, significant international scale, and active strategic/M&A activity in consumer categories.

The programme would mainly involve rotations across finance business partnering, strategic finance, FP&A, commercial finance, supply chain finance and business controlling. There should also be some strategy adjacent work, such as 3-year strategic plans, pricing/revenue growth, transformation, investment cases, and M&A integration/implementation.

Prior to this, I’ve built a finance heavy profile with experience across leveraged finance, infrastructure private equity, Big 4 audit, and strategic finance at a high-growth startup, with a few years of experience across internships and full time roles. Worth noting i also did a 1 year internship in big tech and all prior roles were in London.

Given Denmark is a smaller consulting market, I’m wondering whether being based locally and having Danish market experience at a large multinational could improve my chances of moving into strategy consulting or corporate strategy after the programme.Would firms view this as strong experience, or would it still be seen as too corporate finance/FP&A-heavy? Also, what level would be realistic after the programme: Consultant, Senior Consultant, or closer to entry-level?
