Full-Time Recruiting in Spring Semester
Do consulting (tech or strategy) firms still recruit full-time hires during spring semester? I have not been fortunate enough during this semester and was wondering if I had a shot if I bumped my GPA up to a 3.5 and developed more technical skills over the winter. I attend a target university.
It's definitely off cycle but if you're at a target I'd use winter break to network like a beast. Some shops may have had people unexpectedly turn down offers. How far did you get last semester? What ended up stopping you? You're unlikely to have much luck with the places you applied last semester unless you can make a personal connection with someone who can and will vouch for you.
Final round at Deloitte, PwC, Accenture. I'm not too sure what stopped me, i think it might have been gpa/experience. Would you recommend I touch base again with the recruiter?
I think it's too late at this point to keep trying for the places that you didn't get an offer. Best bet would be to reach out to places you haven't applied to yet. Also, by the time you get to final round interviews, I don't think GPA matters.
