Good questions to make an impression at a networking breakfast with an MBB Senior partner

Hi everyone,

Later this week I'm having a networking breakfast with an MBB senior partner and I really want to make an impression.

While preparing for breakfast, more precisely thinking about good questions to ask him, I remembered here could be a good place to get new ideas. Thus, I was wondering if you had any suggestions for out of the box questions that might set me apart. Any help is welcome!

Thanks in advance

If he is a senior partner, you will be able to find his areas of expertise on the company website. Look at his specialties and read a few WSJ articles on the industry. With a general understanding, you can then ask something along the lines of, "I saw that you've done a lot of work in the _________ space, what is your opinion on _____/outlook.

Realistically, there's not much you can ask him that would make an impression from the questions alone. Probably more important is naturally getting along with him so he can pass your information down to someone else that will reach out to you.
