If your MBA is from a decent program, based on the hiring from my firm you should expect around $100-110K base and another $20-30K in bonuses.

How would I describe myself? Three words: hard working, alpha male, jackhammer…merciless…insatiable.

I believe base salary offers are much different between larger firms and boutiques. When I started at a healthcare boutique out of school, I saw that my base was actually 10-15% below market of what my peer group was offered; however, and I think this applies to most boutiques, our bonuses (as a percentage of base salary) were much higher than larger firms. So, if your offer is from a more 'boutique' firm, ask for clarity on the incentive compensation structure; most likely, they will not give you a hard number but should be fine with giving you a percent range. If I had to guess based on the hiring from my firm, and from peers also working in large firms, a candidate with a graduate degree and three years of relevant experience might earn between 85,000 - 115,000 for all-in compensation (base plus bonus). Good luck!

Despite some of the negative comments posted on here recently regarding Huron, I'm looking into possibly doing a lateral move. I'm currently at a smaller healthcare boutique. I joined the firm last summer after completing a MHA with a starting salary of 90K and 10k sign-on. It appears that the similar role at Huron would be the "Associate" position. Any idea on compensation levels and sign-on amounts? The ranges stated on Glassdoor are too wide to be meaningful.

Thanks in advance.
