Help! Job offer from Deloitte- is it a low ball salary? should I ask for more

Looking for some assistance- Does Deloitte pay significantly different for Commercial Consulting vs. Federal Consulting? I received an offer for 100k with a 5k sign on bonus- federal but I know people who received offers for 135k with 30k sign on bonuses but for commercial...we all have MBAs- what should I do?

The difference in salary between commercial and federal is normal, not a low ball offer. Your hours are going to be significantly better as well.

Federal typically pays a decent amount less (your numbers look reasonable). I have heard of some people leveraging the fact that they have commercial offers elsewhere to get more money, but not sure how common that is.

Are you coming in as a Senior Consultant? I have also seen Deloitte, especially during the rougher economic times, lowball some people with Consultant offers out of b-school.
