It's part of the recruiters standard signature, not all that surprising actually as many people have these types of messages in their signatures.
The 2nd item is standard and attached at the end of every email from most professional services firms. Your recruiter had no ability to send an email without that attached.
Finally, which practice in Minneapolis were you recruiting for?

Guys, people will voluntarily put this line as their signature - it's meant to reduce waste or at least make people think twice about printing something that's unecessary.

That line is the most stupid thing ever. Some times I print emails and they come out with an extra page with that line only. Why why why?
