How do students usually prepared for case scenarios for management consulting?

Hi everyone, very new to the forum.

I am currently a student at UMass Amherst (second year) majoring in Finance. I am starting to think of what I want to do with my life career wise and management consulting has crossed my mind a number of times since high school. I know only Bain & Company recruits out of my school so I guess my questions are geared towards them.

For case reviews, how do students prepare for and get the answers that Bain recruiters are looking for? Since recent undergraduates have no experience how are we supposed to answer the questions that are presented currently to the consultants themselves?
