How early can you (reasonably) start doing consulting internships?
So I'm looking to get a jump on my peers (or at least figure out if I want to consult before my junior year). How early can one reasonably start interning for halfway decent consulting firms (assuming good undergrad, strong GPA, etc.?)
Assuming MBB/tier 2 shops, most likely junior year. Many shops have sophomore programs, but they're overwhelmingly for URM. I think Deloitte has a sophomore internship for tech, however.
For decent boutiques maybe as early as after freshman year, but those positions are rare as hens' teeth, take any relevant internship and network hard.
