How fast does MBB reply after submitting application?
Hi guys,
I'm intending to apply to MBB via their websites (I've graduated for a year and have been working since, so I'm applying as an "external" candidate.. ie. not via their campus recruiting cycles). As I intend to allocate sufficient time to prepare for the case interviews, I think it would be a great idea to have a sense of how much time I have to prepare, to better facilitate my planning.
So, I was wondering if any of you have experience as to how quickly MBB replies to you and sets up the first interview once they receive your application? If it helps, I am applying to the Singapore offices.

I have no experience with the Singapore offices or any of the Asian offices for that matter. However, in my experience with West Coast offices (undergrad recruiting cycle), it truly depended on the situation. If they were extending an invitation to interview, it typically took within a month or so after I applied. If it was a rejection email, this took a little longer i.e. 2-3 months after I applied.
Takeaway: if you are moving on in the process, they will be quick to follow up. if not, then I'm afraid you will be kept wondering for quite some time.

Thanks guys, it seems like there's a whole lot of variability in their reply times... could more people share? Maybe I could get a sense of the median reply time.. appreciate it!
It rally depended on the company too. I guess it was something like 10 days for BCG, 2 weeks for Bain, and a bit more than 3 weeks for McK - hope that helps.. Some friends never got an answer; though if that happens you should email again (or even call)
