how limited/screwed/tough will new grad recruiting be this year?

Rising senior here. I know that a lot of firms delayed the start dates of their 2023 new grads from August to anywhere from October to February.

How will this year's new grad recruiting (2024) be? Will firms hire fewer new grads or will the number of slots be the same as last year's? Will start dates be different?
