How much does a management consulting firm charge for one case?
The rate charged is really dependent on the number of people involved, the length of the case and how much of a discount. Still want to know how much does a management consulting firm such as McKinsey, Bain, BCG charge?
At my firm, engagements have ranged from $100k to $25million
On a well-sold project in a high-fee region, Tier 1/2 firms charge ~100k USD per consultant per month
We are all getting away from the "dollars per head per week" billing rate idea as much as we can. Having said that, your number is quite low for MBB. Pricing for Tier 1 and 2 firms is quite different. That's part of why they are in different tiers.

For business reports such as business plans, marketing strategies, product assessment etc..., how much do firms charge for creating such reports? Do they usually charge an hourly rate or flat fee? Is it going to cost thousands of $$?

It varies wildly. Rates for an undergrad consultant at some firms could be $100/hr. Rates for an MBB principal are probably well north of $1,000/hr.
