How will the MBB lateral hiring frenzy affect 2022 ft recruitment?

Obviously no one has a crystal ball, but curious what y'all think. Will the mad hiring spree you see on fishbowl continue going into the fall? Or, will MBB think that they are over capacity and cut back?

(this is about undergrad fulltime recruitment for rising seniors)

My guess is it won't impact it too much. OCR decisions are made almost a full year out and are more strategic than tactical, so volume shouldn't be based on current need.

Is this the same clueless freshman who was asking about the “landscape”?

Current hiring frenzy is specifically to address huge short term demand for staff + under recruitment from last year's FT recruiting season + greater than normal levels of attrition due to WFH burnout

my guess is this upcoming recruiting cycle will be similar to 2019 but slightly higher
