HR told me I got final round, but no email back

Recently had a first round at a top firm. I was called the next day by the interviewer telling me I would be invited to the final round and to expect an email. It's been a week now and I still haven't received the email. I think they said the interview was Oct 8th. Should I be worried/is this normal?

Often times, it's just a matter of coordinating with the senior associates and planning around their schedule. Definitely follow up, but the HR personnel are usually coordinating these things and waiting to receive confirmation from the seniors before giving you a definitive time.

I'm in a similar position, immediately after my second round, I received an informal message from my interviewer that I should expect a next round. It's been nearly two weeks and this is largely due to the associates having 60-70 hour work weeks.
