Initial tough starts, an interesting series of FT laterals + transitions, extremely non-target backgrounds, diverse education (MD, JD, Ph.D., etc.), etc.
I got into consulting almost accidentally through my previous academic interests, as I was looking for a way to solve some management problems which are prevalent in my previous industry.
