Intern experience for MBB or Big 4?

I'm currently a freshman at a non-target with a relatively high GPA and SAT (4.0 and 1550). I'd like to hopefully intern at MBB or B4 in the summer before my senior year, which I already know is going to be hard since I'm not from a target (George Washington University).

So now, I'm trying to figure out the best internships and experiences to have that would best help get my resume in front of a recruiter. I've heard that the best ways are to network and work at brand-name companies, which I'm not quite sure I got. I have an internship with NBCUniversal this summer as a finance intern, but from what I've heard, that won't be too helpful in terms of usefulness to MBB recruiters. Media's still one of my top interests though, and I thought this would be a good stepping stone to future work experiences.

After this summer, what other companies would be best to intern at before applying to MBB a couple years from now? Should I stay on the media track, or maybe go in a different industry?
