Is anyone who's experienced with case interviews willing to give me 2 interviewee-led cases (one medium, one hard) and give me brutally honest feedback?
Hi everyone - I'm a senior going through FT recruiting for management consulting roles and I've been rejected from first-rounds at a T2 and MBB, in addition to this one other firm.
I believe I'm pretty bad at cases and have actually never passed a case interview (except for one with CarMax, which is not really about cases but rather about just setting up the right equations).
I met with a case coach who is a recent grad from my school and he said I wasn't too bad, but just needed to fine-tune my answers (being more detailed with frameworks and communicating my math processes better). He said I was actually in a good spot to get an offer despite me NEVER having passed a case interview, ever! I don't really believe him, because the case he gave me was pretty easy and it was interviewer-led (McK style), so I think my performance there may have been incorrectly represented too positively.
So I was wondering if anyone was willing to give me 1-2 virtual case interviews and an honest opinion of where I stand.
EDIT: Just learned that I passed a case interview for the first time in my life but would still love feedback!
Hi Prospect in Consulting, whoops, looks like nobody chimed in here.... maybe one of these discussions below is relevant:
