Is Disputes & Investigations fun?

Asking for a friend (fr) who is currently in audit - he kind of hates audit atm and finds it very boring. He brought the topic up with me saying he wanted to switch to AML/compliance because he wanted problems (lmao), and I told him that afaik compliance is dead af and is not nearly as exciting as it sounds.

I then told him to look into Disputes/Investigations/Fraud consulting, e.g.: in Alix, A&M, FTI and the like. For anyone with perspective, does that seem more dynamic than audit or compliance? Would someone see questionable shit on a daily that would make for good stories 10 years down the line?
