Is it possible that there are people out there who will suck at cases no matter what?
See the title. I've read on my university's Reddit page that someone prepared a week for a case interview and got their "dream internship," whereas I know that others prepare for longer and get rejected anyhow.
I am still recruiting, but if there's one thing I have learned, some people can think like a consultant, and most other's can't. It really comes down to your ability to use structured thinking, and be creative with your solutions. As well as your basic ability to speak with people, and be convincing. In short, yes it is entirely possible that some people will suck at casing, that's exactly why consulting firms use the case interview process.
