Is it to late to apply to MGMT consulting jobs, especially at MBB? Help a rising senior. + any networking advice?

Hello lads, rising senior who is doing their first ever finance internship right now. Not that I hate it, but I've been recommended to try at management consulting as it may be a much better fit. I have good qualifications, 3.8 from a target. The only problem is I realize it might be far too late in the process to even consider it at the MBB firma and others. I have never networked for this position. I am ready to prepare for case interviews and everything I just don't know if without networking I would even make it that far.

I really don’t know how to network, so if anyone has advice I would really appreciate it! Thanks

I only ask because my school advisor was saying that it was imperative to “network” and attend information sessions before applying to get a interview… and the McK app is due in a week. I can’t seem to find any information sessions so idk how I would even network tbh. Thanks for the reassurance

If you are not 80% ready for the interviews then I would submit by the McKinsey fall deadline - there are less spots for FT but I think you might get dinged if you apply first round cold or fail the interviews without doing quite a bit of case prep. Same for BCG/Bain.
