Is Penn CAS Actually Enough for McKinsey?
Incoming Penn CAS freshman planning to major in economics and interested in McKinsey/MBB.
What should I actually be doing during freshman year to ensure I can land an internship? Do clubs and networking matter that much, or is it mostly GPA and experience?
Also what kinds of internships should I look for freshman and sophomore summer? Is the best consulting internship I can get fine or should I be strategic.
I’m considering taking the GMAT for fun, although I have no idea whether that would help at all.
Thoughts on this?
Go touch some grass kid
Taking the GMAT "for fun" as an incoming freshman in college is kinda wild
Also GMAT scores expire 5 years after taking it. I know some people who took it as seniors in college but none of them ended up pursuing the MBA (they were able to land the roles they wanted 3-5 years out after college and didn't find an MBA necessary).
