I've been on the bench for 2 weeks at a B4 Strategy arm; should I be worried?
In the last week of October, I was told I was being rolled off a project because of budget.
I hit the bench on Halloween and have been working on 3 proposals and BD work ever since.
Monday will be my 2-week mark on the bench; should I start getting worried? I've been told by managers and my performance coach that utilization isn't expected to be very high and that many people are benched because we hired too many people last year.
My plan to get off the bench is to:
1) Work more effectively so that I can work on more BD tasks than just the 1-3 I do at any time; thereby meeting more people and working with more people, but also not bite off more than I can chew
2) Start going to the office more to meet more people
3) Upskill in this specific modeling area that my mentor told me to learn because those skills are in demand
