JD MBB - exit opps compared to MBA MBB
For a JD working at MBB for a 3-4 years, do most exit options require an MBA? (I'm talking F500, hedge fund, or PE).
I understand JD's get hired as associates and get paid the same starting as MBA students. However, when exiting, how do the exit options compare?
Is an MBA "necessary"? If a MBA is out of question, what other exit options are we looking at for a JD?
.

I would guess that the exit opportunities would be largely similar for JD's vs. MBA's coming out of MBB. The primary reason a company would hire someone out of MBB is because of their consulting experience, not necessarily because of the degree they have. I'm sure there are law-related exit opportunities out there, but I'm guessing that more often, JD's get hired into strategy positions just like most others.
