KPMG BUSINESS PERFORMANCE SERVICES + TOP MBA...PROSPECTS???

Hey all, I just started a role in KPMG Business Performance Services...I intend to attend a top MBA in the next year or two..Ive got Stanford in mind..Im wondering:

(1) Just how is the KPMG BPS brand viewed by top consulting firms e.g Mckinsey, Bain etc...

(2) Im really interested in PE but I realize its virtually impossible to get in without prior PE or IB experience even if you are at a target school so Im thinking of getting some consulting experience at a top firm post MBA and hopefully making a lateral shift...With KPMG and a top MBA, What are my chances at the Mckinsey's and Bain's and

(3) How achieveable is a lateral shift into a top PE firm, Its talked about all the time but does it really happen and if so, after how many years of being a consultant?...I'd like to hear first hand from someone who has actually made such a shift or who directly knows someone who has made the shift.
