Lateral from industry accounting to restructuring?

I graduated from a non-target university with a 3.8/4 in spring 2020 and had solid internships and leadership experiences. I also competed in varsity sport. Given the non-target I didn't have the option for IB or consulting and joined a large oil and gas company in their CPA rotational program. I chose this over Big 4 audit due to pay and not wanting to do audit. I have been in my role for about 1 year now and am realizing I don't think accounting is my career choice. I would be really interested in moving to a restructuring role at a A&M/FTI/Big4 firm. I like the idea of doing more project/transaction focused work in a client advisory role.

I was first curious if I should wait to get my CPA prior to getting a new job?

Second, can you move into restructuring from industry accounting or is big 4 audit experience recommend? I can see a mix of both on LinkedIn but still unsure.
