does your friend have any solid work experience? I don't think I've ever come across anyone from a top 10 program that didn't have at least 2 years of work experience OR had another advanced degree (one of my friends is a PhD/MBA with no full time work experience.
Besides having potential difficulty with recruiting, I would generally say she should re-apply for MBA after a couple years of work. I feel like there's value to having actual work experience under your belt before pursuing an MBA that'll make the education worthwhile.
