MBA to Specific Consulting Practice
I am going for an MBA starting next year. Can someone tell me at (1) the internship level and (2) the recruitment level if new MBAs can apply to a specific practice at a large consulting firm? For instance, if I am interested in payments consulting do I apply for that role or is it a general strategy position and then I can later specialize?

At the entry level usually you can't. But once you are there you can reach out to folks working on the space you are interested and push for staffing opportunities. It also helps if the office you are applying to does a bunch of that stuff.
